Same-Sex Marriage for: The Globe and Mail

Meet Kathy and Elaine...


...they are a same-sex couple who were married in Canada almost 9 years ago and have been together over 36 years. However, Canada's Justice Department's recently decided that thousands of same-sex couples married in Canada since 2004 were no longer legally wed. 

“Well honey, I guess we may not be married after all,” said Kathy to Elaine 

Is same-sex marriage a defamation of the sanctity for marriage? Should we honor same-sex marriages? Is the government's legal stance on this issue an infringement of one's civil liberties?
